  1. Nvidia Shied

The Nvidia Shield is an 8 inch android tablet that was built with gaming in mind. Its second generation product is much more versatile and accessible than its predecessor. Games can be remote streamed or it could be attached to the Nivdia’s GPUs to stream games from the PC. The Nvidia Shield comes with a chip that integrates 2.2GHz quad-core Cortex-A15 processor and a 192-core ULP GeForce Kepler GPU. It measures 221 x 126 x 9.2 mm and weighs 380 grams. The display runs at 1200 by 1290 pixels with a PPI of 283 and aspect ratio of 16:10. The 16 GB Shield is priced at approximately 28,000 INR.

  1. Sony Xperia Z3 tablet Compact

With similar pixel quality and an 8in. display like the Nvidia Shield, the Z3 also comes with IP68 certification, which makes it water and dust resistant. So that dream of gaming in the shower will finally come true.  It weighs 270 grams and measures 213.4 x 123.6 x 6.4 mm. Truly compact in nature, it is powered with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chip, a mobile SoC that uses an Adreno 330 GPU and a 2.5GHz quad-core Krait 400 CPU. It costs approximately 25,000-30,000 INR.

  1. Xiomi Mi pad

The Xiomi Mi pad uses Nvidia’s Tegra 32-bit K1 SoC which has four cores running at 2.2GHz and a fifth low-power “companion core” that helps when power consumption is needed. It has an internal storage of 16 GB and can be expanded upto 128 GB with an SD card. It comes with a 7.9 inch display and a resolution of 1536 x 2048, similar to the 2nd and 3rd generation iPad mini. It has an Android OS (4.4.4) and provides an excellent 3D gaming experience. The Mi Pad is priced at around 15,000 INR.

The new iPad mini is a nice medium sized alternative between the iPad and the iPhone.  The iPad mini has a 7.9-inch display with a 2048-by-1536 pixel resolution, which gives the new device 3.1 million pixels. That’s every game developers dream.  The iPad mini has a faster processor, graphics and gyroscopic co-processing experience. The App store has a lot of games that compliment these features. The iPad mini is priced in the range of 20,000-25,000 INR.

  1. Nexus 10.

The nexus 10 comes with a 10 inch display, which is bigger than the ones mentioned above. It is a full HD 2560×1600 pixel display. The nexus 10 comes with a Dual-Core 1.7 GHz Cortex-A15 process and a 2GB RAM. The android OS is upgradable to Kitkat (4.4.2). It is available in 16 and 32 GB, however, the device lacks Expandable memory. It is priced at approximately 49,000 INR.
